The effect of exercise position on urinary control and quality of life of women with stress urinary incontinence

Introduction: Pelvic floor muscle exercises are effective in reducing stress urinary incontinence. Few studies have investigated the effect of different exercise variables on the treatment outcome. This study examines different positions during exercise and examines the impact of these positions. Methodology: 44 people entered the study and randomly performed the exercises in arched positions or both arched and standing positions. They gave. Bladder diary, pad test, quality of life questionnaire (incontinence impact questionnaire) and pelvic floor muscle strength were evaluated before and after treatment. Findings: Exercise position did not affect the treatment result. After performing the statistical analysis in both groups, all the tests showed better results. Results: The exercise position has no effect on the result. The women who entered this study in both groups showed 67.9% improvement in the periods of urine loss and also the results of other measurements showed improvement compared to before treatment.
